Does anyone know if the Double Happiness Letterbox in Wallingford, CT has
been replaced...

It says that it was removed in May 2002 due to the trail being
repaired...has it been put back...

Yes, it's back in place. We only removed it for the week surrounding
the clean-up, so that it wouldn't get cleaned away.

It was there safe and sound on June 30th.  I don't get the stamp though, anyone understand the significance of the stamp?  I believe it is Chinese characters, but I don't konw what they mean.

Each of the two characters stands for Happiness (or Joy). To put two
together is to wish for double the happiness! Its a common decoration
at Chinese weddings. :)

Double Happiness is alive and well. Just came back from a nice walk and stamping in. Lovely idea for a stamp.
